Handcrafted from American White Oak the barrel holds approximately 10 liters and includes a custom airlock system for wine or beer fermentation. All barrels have a medium toast and come with the stand, bung, and wooden spigot.
The airlock is used to prevent wine contamination by allowing carbon dioxide gas (produced during fermentation) to escape from the barrel but preventing oxygen from entering the barrel. Half-fill the airlock with water or a sulphite solution when fitted to the barrel.
